Royal jelly is a protein-rich discharge from the glands of working drones. While all hatchlings are fed royal jelly for the initial three days of life, hatchlings picked by the working drones to become queen are bathed in royal jelly in extraordinary, prolonged ‘queen cells’ throughout their development. Royal Jelly is a supplement-rich fluid with 66% water, 13% protein, 15% starch, 5% unsaturated fats, and 1% minor components. It contains all vitamins B and hints of nutrient C.
